No. CareerLagoon advertises roles and introduces applicants to the employers who offer them. Hiring, contracts, supervision, work arrangements and pay are decided by the employer. Applying does not create employment with CareerLagoon or guarantee an offer.
Please read each listing fully, including duties, how the work is done, how you would be engaged, eligibility and conditions. Roles can fill or change during recruitment; when CareerLagoon learns of this, the listing is updated or removed. If you spot an error, email careers@careerlagoon.com and name the role.
Give accurate information about yourself, and only apply for someone else if they asked you to and agree. Meet the role's eligibility and right-to-work requirements. Complete the form, then send CareerLagoon HR the WhatsApp message, which only goes once you press Send. If you cannot use WhatsApp, email careers@careerlagoon.com. The employer may ask more questions or hold an interview before any offer.
No. CareerLagoon never charges applicants for applying, placement, administration or training, and never asks for a deposit. Businesses advertising roles cover CareerLagoon's costs. CareerLagoon will never ask you to buy cryptocurrency, top up an account, pay to unlock work or transfer money to release wages. If anyone asks you for this in connection with a CareerLagoon role, report it to careers@careerlagoon.com.
Pay is set by the employer and applies only to that role and its conditions. A range does not mean you will receive the highest figure. Before accepting, ask the employer to confirm in writing its legal name, your duties and engagement type, the rate or how pay is calculated, expected hours or workload, and when you will be paid. CareerLagoon does not guarantee work, a minimum workload or income.
CareerLagoon is responsible for its own statements and advertising. Employers are responsible for what they tell CareerLagoon and for their duties as employers. If CareerLagoon's ads and careerlagoon.com disagree on something important, CareerLagoon will check and correct whichever is wrong. A general disclaimer does not cancel a specific statement or your legal rights.

Do not pretend to be someone else, send fake applications, use other people's details without consent, upload harmful content or disrupt the operation of careerlagoon.com.

Links and buttons on careerlagoon.com open third-party apps such as WhatsApp and email, which CareerLagoon does not control.
CareerLagoon does not promise uninterrupted access to careerlagoon.com or that a listing will remain open during your application, and may alter or suspend the site without warning.
These terms do not exclude, limit or change any right, guarantee or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded, limited or changed.
Apart from those non-excludable rights, CareerLagoon is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss connected with careerlagoon.com. Liability for fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be limited, is not affected.
Typos and technical errors can happen, and CareerLagoon corrects them once aware.
If you breach these terms, for instance by applying with another person's details without consent, you are responsible for resulting loss that is reasonably foreseeable, unless CareerLagoon caused it.
Delays or failures caused by matters outside CareerLagoon's reasonable control, including hosting or messaging service outages, are not CareerLagoon's responsibility.
Roles advertised by CareerLagoon are for adults living in Australia who have the right to work here. Some employers set extra requirements, which appear in the listing or are explained by CareerLagoon HR before an introduction. CareerLagoon may decline to pass on an application that clearly does not meet a role's stated requirements, and will tell you why if you ask.
Where a role comes with online training, it is supplied by the employer or organised by CareerLagoon and costs applicants nothing. The training explains how the work is done; finishing it is not a promise of engagement, and responsibility for the work itself stays with the employer.
Linking to the careerlagoon.com home page is fine, provided the link does not imply a relationship with or endorsement by CareerLagoon. CareerLagoon has no control over external sites linking in or linked out, and is not responsible for them. Please tell CareerLagoon at careers@careerlagoon.com about any link that misdescribes CareerLagoon or its roles so it can act on it.
Employers who list roles through CareerLagoon must describe them honestly, follow Australian workplace laws, give written terms before work begins and must not request money from applicants. CareerLagoon may remove any listing or employer that breaks these expectations, and you can report concerns to careers@careerlagoon.com at any time.
The rest still applies, and not enforcing a term straight away does not mean CareerLagoon has waived it.
